The Thinker And The Doer

There are two parts of me. The thinker and the doer. Together, they determine how I interact with and perceive the world.

The doer is doing. The doer says things, moves around, performs actions. He is the one that interact with the world.

The thinker, decides what the doer should do. He is the puppet master. He perceives the environment, analyses it and gives instructions to the doer. "They laughed the last time you told a story about your travels. Tell another one." "She is looking over your shoulder a lot. She seems bored. Change the subject".

I don't like the thinker that much. He tires me out.

When I am present, the thinker and doer dissolve into one.

One of these moments, where I am present, is when I play rugby. Here, the thinking and doing is the same behaviour. I don't have a voice in my head that says "oh he turned his hips towards you, you should pass now". It just happens. There is only one me. And that is when I feel content.

To me, that is the meaning fo life. For the thinker and doer to dissolve together. To be present. To be one.
